Rap Wars have taken a strange turn recently.

We’re talking about the B.o.B./Neil deGrasse Tyson/Tyson thing. For those who haven’t kept score: B.o.B. said the world is flat. Neil deGrasse Tyson then tried to school B.o.B. on Twitter, resulting in the MC dropping a track called “Flatline” defending his stance.

And now, a rapper named “Tyson” — claiming to be Neil deGrasse Tyson’s nephew — is joining the fray, via a song “Flat to Fact,” (which samples Drake’s “Back to Back” which dissed Meek Mill). Tyson says on the song – which is old school hip-hop circa DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince – that this is his debut track and that he’s representing Neil deGrasse Tyson. Neil deGrasse Tyson tweeted the song out, lending credibility to that claim.

“Is Donald Trump the one that’s feeding you all of these…
Stupid bits of information keeps you on your knees
I know we gotta freedom of speech, but Bobby please…
Somebody stop this..
Or call the Drop Squad because they got this…
And maybe they can pick up Stacy Dash too
So if you’re ignorant here’s what they’re gonna ask you”

Neil deGrasse ends the track with, “Dude, to be clear, being five centuries regressed in your reasoning doesn’t mean we all can’t still like your music.” Listen to the song on Radio.com. Warning: mildly explicit lyrics.
